There was a poor farmer who lived in a village. He used to earn livelihood his family by milking a cow and churning it into butter.
One day, after his wife prepared the butter, he goes to sell it in city.
Each knob of butter weighing 1 kg.
The farmer used to barter it for sugar, rice , soap and oil with the same shopkeeper for several months.
However this time, after the farmer went, the greedy shopkeeper thought of a idea to extort more money from his customers by selling lesser quantity of butter for the same price. To make the size change not very apparent, he decides to break the knobs into 900 gms but to his dismay, each knob measured exactly 900 gm. Shopkeeper was hurt and felt cheated.
The next week, the farmer again comes to his shop . The shopkeeper starts hurling abuses at him. He accuses him of deceiving his trust as he had claimed each chunk to be 1 kg.
The troubled farmer humbly spoke "My brother, being poor I do not have sufficient money to purchase weights. Whatever sugar I take from you, I place it on the other plate of taraazu and match it to the same"
Whatever we give to others, will come back to us!
